TWO FIVE STAR ALBUMS – JAPANESE ENGINES OUT NOW, GERMAN ENGINES OUT EARLY 2012

JAPANESE ENGINES is the Fauves first album in three years. Having largely been recorded in four days, that left another 1456 days for planning. Nothing has been left to chance.

The finely wrought operation includes the release of a second album, GERMAN ENGINES, recorded in the same four days and due for release shortly after its slightly older sibling. Not since Guns ‘n Roses Use Your Illusion 1 and 2 has a band thought this big or acted with this level of wanton disregard for convention.

You're my type is the first song taken from the Fauves’ epic new twin release project JAPANESE ENGINES/GERMAN ENGINES.

We asked band member Andrew Cocksx about the motivation behind the new song:

"After recently getting dumped I posted some heavily doctored photos on a few dating websites. The over 40’s market is cut-throat. I soon realised my anodyne nice guy shtick wasn’t working for me. No amount of pretending to enjoy windsurfing, weekends away and long walks on the beach was ever going to get me anywhere. So I put some of my patented post-modern poetry to a few chords and set the whole thing on fire. The online dating world wasn’t ready so I bought it a rocket and told it to catch up with me when it reached the future"
